Birding Tours

Birding in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the nearby national parks frequently gets overshadowed by the larger wildlife. However, the bird life in the region is incredibly diverse and exciting, and waiting for bird lovers from all over the world to discover just how incredible it can be! With hundreds of species calling Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks home in the summer, and even more passing through during migration, birders from all over will find something new and exciting to see. Many exciting but common residents include the Harlequin Duck, Trumpeter Swan, Clark’s Nutcracker, Western Tanager, and so much more.

If you’re visiting during the winter months (November-April), note that the only offering available will be the Jackson Hole Winter Birding Tour. This is because Yellowstone National Park is closed, and much of Grand Teton National Park is void of significant wildlife activity. While we still visit the southern side of Grand Teton National Park, other options open up as well, including the National Elk Refuge, where plentiful waterfowl can be found, in addition to numerous raptors, among others.
