About Your Guide
Mikki Cavaroc is an award-winning nature photographer who has been professionally guiding in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem since 2012. Having moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 2008, she spent the following years engulfed in the ecology and natural beauty of the area, constantly seeking out new trails, new experiences, and new photographic opportunities.
With a passion for the natural world and its rightful inhabitants, she hopes to inspire others to share in that passion by teaching them about the region and how the effects ripple through other parts of the country.
About the Tours
Jackson Hole Birding Tours is currently the only company in the area specializing in birding. Operated by local photographer and avid birder, Mikki Cavaroc, the company seeks to fill a void that’s been absent for too long in Jackson Hole. While plentiful companies operate to show you the incredible larger wildlife of the region, Jackson Hole Birding Tours is the only company that will put birds at the top of the list of species to be seen. Even so, we will inevitably come across the larger wildlife. Since every tour is a private tour, how much time we spend with each animal will be up to you.
With tours exploring Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park, my hope is to bring more attention and awareness to a significant, but often overlooked, component to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. With incredible and unique species as Trumpeter Swans, Harlequin Ducks, Clark’s Nutcrackers, Greater-Sage Grouse, and literally hundreds more, I am excited to share the gorgeous winged residents of this region with you!
